Art Deco Machine Age John Vassos turntable / record player for GE, circa 1939 General Electric These are very cool. Great Vassos original patented design in US and Canada. Super streamline / teardrop Industrial re-design in bakelite. Model # HM-3. There were a couple of teardrop shaped record players in 1939 (RCA R-100, GE USA HM-3 (same as JM-3) and Canadian GE CJM-3), made from bakelite, that are all very collectible. These are very simple 78 rpm-only players. Only the GE models are known to have been designed by John Vassos. Very good untested original condition. Original box with significant wear. Original wiring and volume control.
