Nine 19th Century Treen Ware Boxwood Medical Oil Ointment Lotion Bottle Holders

$2,950per set

Very decorative medical curiosity cabinet set of nine 19th century Victorian English and German treen turned boxwood bottle holders. These containers were used for protecting delicate items such as glass apothecary bottles, perfume bottles, syringes, powder, ointment bottles, thermometers and other medical or vanity items. In three of the containers are glass bottles: One large one holds a very nice empty bottle with cork and metal stopper with little holes in it on which it reads 'Georg Dralle Hamburg". They soon began to manufacture surgical instruments and later expanded to produce a variety of medical and pharmaceutical products.
