Tiger and Hornbill from Exhibition Tier at Moa by Sinke & Van Tongeren

About

Title: 'The Hornbill that got away.' An impressive 3D old master painting inspired on Rubens fighting tigers and lions painting. A Siberian tiger ripped open a Victorian cage with marble crown. A pair of Wreathed Hornbills flew for their lives but only one got lucky. The other one is crushed under the giant claw of the beast. Instead of being satisfied by the meal this tiger is just focussed on the one that got away. It's a human story. 'The Hornbill that got away' part of the tier expo at MOA Museum. A work inspired by the paintings of The Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens The Hornbill on the metal base in the pictures is a optional separate artwork. Please inquire for details. The works of Dutch Artists Sinke and van Tongeren are inspired by golden age old master painters like de' Hondecoeter, Weenix, Snyders, Bachelier and others. They are beautiful collections of rare exotic animals in flamboyant striking poses and dramatic compositions. Their sculpting skills enables them to create animals that act almost like in a human manner. About DSVT collection: CNN: 'The men who turned taxidermy into strangly beguiling art.' Financial Times: 'The stuffed that dreams are made of.' The Telegraph: 'Sinke and van Tongeren elevates taxidermy to Fine art.' Note: None of the animals are killed for their work. All animals lived and died in captivity. Died of natural causes. All animals have all necessary paperwork that enables you to own them 100% legal. This specific tiger was part of a breeding program in a zoo. It died of kidney failure at the age of 15. Note: All fine taxidermy work by Sinke and van Tongeren is museum class.
