A wonderful example of a late 19th Century articulated pull along dog, constructed from pine and metal hinged body with painted detail surface. Original fabric canvas ears still intact as is its full chain. Glass eyes and red wooden wheels give this rare toy a wonderful quirky and decorative look, when pulled along the dog wiggles from side to side, a real bit of fun.

"Antique early 20th century Wiefel & Company doll with bisque head by Armand Marseille, sleep eyes, composite hands, wood lengs, and soft body, marked “1908 DEP W & Co 121 AM” on back of head and dressed in a lace edged dress and floppy hat. “In 1912 Erste Steinbacher Porzellanfabrik was sold to Hugo Wiefel and renamed Wiefel & Company, thus a new doll mark was used of W & Co or W & C with or without a doll mold number.
By 1914 Wiefel's manufacturing was shut down because of World War I and restarted up again in 1918, although it doesn't appear that bisque doll...

Here is a treasure for doll collector! This 19th century doll by Jumeau was crafted in France, circa 1870; the doll's head and right arm are in motion when the music is been played by cranking the knob on the base. The head and hands are made of bisque (or porcelain), with lace clothing in the blue and beige palette. Very good condition commensurate with age and use. Signed Jumeau on the back of the neck.
