C.S. Hammond & Co. 1950s Inflatable Globe on Tripod Stand
About the Item
Hammond's International Globe (circa 1955) composed of an inflatable globe on painted metal tripod base. Images and font are large in scale and very legible. As durable as a beach ball, this vinyl globe is inflatable / deflatable by way of a locking port mechanism located at the top of the globe (clockwise lock / counter clock unlock). Asymmetrical, 3-legged base in black painted metal is nicely contrasted by painted gold feet / tips.
Minor paint loss to the base, as photographed; globe itself is excellent.
Listed separately is the table-top version.
