Folk Art Wooden Screen with Abstract Design, Mid-20th Century, European

A double sided screen of layered plywood cut to create abstract designs in an Art Deco style, mid-20th century European, possibly German. The piece is in good original condition, with some signs of the artist's workings - including pencil and ink marks, and small incisions - and general wear in line with age including scratches and small chips. A solid, stabile piece. handcrafted artwork or Folk Art. For us this stands alone as an art piece, but also works well as a mid-height room divider, studio screen or gallery screen.
