19th Century French Walnut & Bone Floral Inlaid Trunk

About the Item

19th Century French walnut & bone floral inlaid trunk. A smaller size trunk with beautiful floral inlaid bone design on the top, front and sides. The back left plain. Brass hardware looks original cut into the wood. The top wrought iron straps look to be added later, though old. A small rectangular box on the top right depth of the trunk open inside for smaller keepsakes. Purchased in Paris Puces. Used as a coffee table so lots of water marks on the top finish. Good overall condition. Measures: 37.75" wide x 22.25" deep x 22.5" high. Provenance: Private Collection, East Hampton, New York.
