Studded Leather Travel Chest

About the Item

Very fine early 18th century leather travel chest or trunk in beautiful brass and iron studded Spanish leather, having elaborate geometric floral design, the slightly domed top with thin border over profusely studded front with arabesque border, original coronet escutcheon and hand-forged wrought iron hinges and handles, the whole with wonderful patination.
