Antique Gilt Metal Hat and Coat Stand
About the Item
Antique gilt metal hat and coat stand.
The gilt metal of this hall coat stand is still original so the gilt finish has in the meantime a great charming worn patina. Above you find a double layer of hooks to hang your coats and hats: 6 large and 6 smaller. Down under beautifully shaped legs. On top of the coat rack a special detail, a kind of a ball, an under some special curls.
This elegant and stylish coat stand dates circa 1930 - 1940 and is probably Italian.
It's not a bentwood hall coat stand like Thonet, but a bent metal coat stand.
His size is smaller then the average ones.
