French Art Deco Wrought Iron Hall Tree with Mirror

About the Item

A multipurpose French hall tree from circa 1930 that will serve many functions in an entryway, hall, or other active room in the home that needs compact storage solutions. Also called a vestiaire, the tall coat & hat rack is made of wrought iron for a sculptural and artistic statement at your front door. A small shelf projects from the top, over the suggestion of a pediment fitted with a line of four scrolled hooks to hang coats and bags. The tall mirror in the center is flanked by rods of wriggled and twisted iron from which two additional hooks appear to float. A drip tray at the base for umbrellas and canes is enclosed at the front by a decorative railing of the same twisting and wavy rods, and a metal sheet on the backside protects the wall from scuffs and moisture. Little scrolled feet elevate the hall tree from the floor. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition and message us with any questions.
