About the Item
"Cuanajo" coat rack is a decorative and utilitarian piece that challenges balance through weight in the beautiful hand-carved cedar wood pieces decorated with the traditional Michoacán "nail" technique. The small cylinders hang lightly from a delicate black thread that supports the weight with a white stone that balances on the ceiling or wall.
Fine woods are carved with great delicacy to create furniture and utilitarian items. The products are decorated with excellent mastery with the help of gouges generating soft textures and interesting reliefs that give life to elaborate designs inspired by the flora and fauna of the region.
