The iconic coat rack that functions as both a practical storage solution and modern sculptural object. When not in use as a coat rack, the Symbol hangs on the wall as a purely aesthetic piece. When needed, the precision machined metal coat hooks flip down smoothly to help you organize your things. The Symbol Coat Rack in COLOR is powder coated seashell white with bright multi-color anodized aluminum hooks. The coat rack is 1.75? deep with the hooks up, and 4.25? when the hooks are flipped down. Mounts to the wall using a sturdy cleat and holds up to 75 lbs. Designed by David E. Scott for DESU DESIGN. Made in the USA. Beloved by many, the Symbol Coat Rack has been an editor favorite in publications ranging from Oprah Magazine to the New York Times.

DESU DESIGN is an American design and manufacturing company that produces the utilitarian and art objects designed by David E. Scott (DESU is an acronym for David E. Scott Utility). At DESU, we strive to make innovative products that blur the boundary between art and design. Our goal is to create pieces of lasting quality, retaining their beauty and functionality for generations. We utilize the precision of modern manufacturing methods with the unmatched skills of the human hand. Inspiration comes from forms found in nature, the history of modern design, and the combined beauty of geometry and the machine. DESU produces many of our products in house and through a network of small independent producers almost all of whom are located in Southern Vermont and New England.
