Large Antique Stick and Ball Wood Floor Easel or Painting Display - 1800s France

About the Item

A very large antique stick and ball French floor easel. This piece is from the late 1800s and was sourced from the South of France. It is perfect for displaying large pieces of art or even a mirror. (We have one client who has used easels similar to this design to display a TV!) The stand has three legs, two in the front, and a reclining leg at the back when unfolded. The top of the easel is tapered with a stick and ball design. At the center on the top are four turned wood pieces with stick and ball accents. The bottom of the easel where art is displayed features a wooden stick and ball bar for resting art or a mirror. The original brass chain that holds the two front legs together with the back is in wonderful condition. We look forward to seeing where this lovely French country piece finds its new home, and how it will be styled! Dimensions: 55" Tall 21" Wide 23" Deep
