Classic valet design by Jacques Adnet, made of brass wrapped in black leather. The valet featuring a small cupped tray for cufflinks and the such at center and leather with contrasting white top stitch throughout. Exposed brass portions of the frame are fashioned in the form of bamboo, a design trademark of Jacques Adnet. Jacques Adnet (1900 - 1984) was a French architect and Art Deco Modernist designer - an icon of luxurious early French Modernism. As a youth, Adnet completed his studies at the Municipal School of Design in Auxerre and the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, and followed his education with a business partnership 'JJ Adnet' alongside his twin brother Jean. In 1925, he was recognized by his peers as one of the most promising young designers at both the Salon d'Automne and Les Expositions des Arts Decoratifs.
