Hammered Brass Umbrella Stand by E. Casagrande
About the Item
Hand hammered fluted brass umbrella stand by Egidio Casagrande of Italy, made in the late 1940s- early 1950s. Stunning sculptural shape in the fluting that he was known for. I've had a ton of his pieces over the years but this is one of the largest pieces I've had. Signed with his stamp on the bottom which is pictured in the photos. The umbrella holder has been cleaned and waxed to bring out the natural patina of the piece. Would make a great sculptural umbrella stand but could also be used as a waste paper basket or small trashcan.
