    19th century oak umbrella stand from France. This umbrella stand has wonderful hand carved decorative detail throughout. The back has a shell over a carved swag, following down to a carved and shaped back flanked on either side by a post and finial for added detail. The front legs are marvelous. They are hand turned twist with beaded detail and topped with fluted finials. The legs are joined to the back with hand turned braces and the piece is supported on bun feet in the front and simple feet in the back for easy placement against a wall.
