Abstract mixed metal sculpture on marble base. By Czech-born, Austrian-trained artist Herbert Seiler (1928-2008). Seiler spent 16 years living and working in Ethiopia, where he taught sculpture to aspiring African artists. The present work was purchased at a solo exhibition in Addis Ababa in 1973 by an American collector. Along with copies of correspondence from the artist.
