About the Item

A custom made luxury contemporary pillow (cushion) of 100% pure Irish linen. A signature combination of Classic pristine white matched with traditional oatmeal. From a vintage batch of fabric new and unused, with the old mill labelling still attached detailing the Irish Linen Guild. The oatmeal is a beautiful mottled color which is the mixture of a white warp and the natural color of the flax plant for the weft woven together. Irish linen, known as the aristocrat of textiles, was once a world leader in the industry and still keeps its allure in the luxury textiles market today. It is made solely from the flax plant and our fine linen is sourced from one of the last remaining linen mills still producing in Ireland, and is certified by the Irish Linen Guild. There is a fashionable return for natural fibres and linen holds numerous eco-friendly properties making it even more desirable. Also backed in a new 100% pure Irish linen on the reverse and finished with a discreet concealed zip. Constructed with care and precision using traditional artisan skills from our studio in Belfast. The combination of these two neutral shades is exquisite and fresh. The simple design consisting of bold, geometric blocks with clean lines with elegant seams, proportions and harmony is inspired by Classic abstract modernism. With its beautiful texture and soft palette this sumptuous pillow would fit superbly into a traditional or contemporary interior, whether country decor, Minimalist style, nautical, summer house, beach house or yacht. Handmade in Ireland Created by designer-maker Katie Larmour Collection: This design is part of a collection that won Katie Larmour Design a place with the British European Design Group in 2015, and was showcased in New York Design Week, 2016.
