One of a Kind Handwoven Wool Throw in Grey Stripes with Red Tassels, in Stock
About the Item
Handwoven on backstrap looms in Chamula, Chiapas, the textile of this delightful throw is made 100% from wool sheared from Chamula Community sheep, considered sacred in local culture, embroidered and decorated with red pompoms dyed with cochineal. These very special pieces can take up to three months to weave and are considered one of a kind due to the artisanal methods used. These throws are becoming more and more limited in stock and may soon be no longer available. They add an organic, international touch to any style decor.
Size, color and background pattern can vary a bit due to the fact that they are individually handmade. Please feel free to contact us to receive additional images of stock.
