About the Item

Large custom made one-of-a-kind luxury cushion (pillow) created from an exquisite vintage pure silk Cartier fashion scarf with a striking bold design in a delicate pink. It features their signature iconic double ‘C’ logo proudly taking centre place in a very regal pose. Encased in frames of expensive chains in both gold and grey with bejeweled sections of pave set diamonds at intervals in perfect symmetry pleasing to the eye. Cartier is a luxury Parisian Empire which originated in 1847 with Louis-Franc¸ois Cartier and is recognized all around the world for their high end creations. The chains seem to be a reference to the brand’s necklaces, bracelets and watch straps. On a quality twill silk with beautiful texture and diagonal grain which was delicately hand rolled and hemmed before being carefully unraveled to create our cushion. It has a beautiful soft sumptuous feel to the touch. Backed in new 100% pure Irish linen, the aristocrat of textiles and certified by the Irish Linen Guild, lined in a layer of natural bamboo wadding, filled with new plush duck feather insert and a concealed zip. The traditional oatmeal color linen is a combination of the unbleached raw color of the natural flax plant on the weft intertwined with pristine white on the warp, resulting in a beautiful mottled effect. Sewn inside is the original ‘Must de Cartier Paris’ translating as ‘Cartier, It's a must!’ and so is this cushion. This gorgeous pillow is without a doubt the ultimate statement piece for an interior. Elegant and glamorous it conjures sophistication and seductive luxury with an essence of feminine style. We also have this same design in a stringer ‘barbie’ pink. A contemporary cushion (pillow) constructed with antique elements by using fragments of precious fabric. Handcrafted in Ireland. Condition: Has been professionally cleaned but there are faint signs or use including dye bleeding, stains and blemishes, that we feel don’t detract from the overall look and beauty of the item.
