About the Item

Custom-made one-of-a-kind luxury cushion (pillow) created from an exquisite vintage Fendi fashion scarf in an elaborate pink and antique gold design. The Italian fashion house was launched in 1925 by Edoardo and Adele Fendi as a fur and leather shop in Rome, with their furs still being a main strength of the brand today. The five sisters of the second generation ran it together since the mid-century and Karl Lagerfeld became creative director in the 1965. Interestingly Fendi has invested more than 2 million euros to help restore world famous treasure the Trevi Fountain in Rome designed by Nicola Salvi in the18th century. Since 1989 Fendi has been creating extravagant furniture and design objects in the contemporary ‘Fendi Casa’ range. Our piece is unique in that it is a one off and also is a specimen from another time and era as well as combining fashion and the home. With luxurious gold ornamentation against fresh alternate strips of pale lilacy pink and oyster white, one’s eye is drawn to the centre with the dazzling embellishment.
