Vintage Cotton Blue and White Man's Blanket Wrap from West Africa

A vintage blue and white men's wrap made by the Ewe tribe of Ghana. These blanket/wraps are worn by Chiefs in West Africa and are considered status symbols because they are costly to make and intricate works of textile art. The cotton is all local hand-spun and the blanket is made of handwoven strips that are pieced together by hand sewing. Deep indigo blue patterning offsets the natural white. Measures: 5'9'' x 13'.
