Primavera Vase attributed to Ercole Barovier
About the Item
Stunning triangular vase done in Primavera glass which was a technique mastered by Ercole Barovier in the late 1920's through early 1930's. The technique features colorless glass with internal decorations of a crackled netting design similar to a spider's web. The pieces were a major success and limited designs were put into production. The chemical used to make primavera glass was found by accident and eventually ran out and to this day has not been able to be replicated.
