Late 19th Century Caucasian Kazak Rug, Diagonal Stripe Design, circa 1890s

About the Item

The field is diagonally striped in dark brown and light beige, and little flowers recur in each band. The main navy border closely supports a hooked lozenge and abstract triangular flower filler repeat, accented in old gold, red and dark blue-green. The condition is fairly good with well reconstructed ends.
