77100 A Surrealist tapestry inspired by Joan Miro's 'Femme et Oiseaux' woman and birds, 1966. The painting was the last of a series the artist completed in Barcelona just after the Nazi occupation of France. Miro used his painted to escape from the perils of World War II painting in an abstract style; evoking tribal symbols equating with motherhood and women. This unique tapestry after Joan Miro is composed of bold, black curvilinear shapes resembling an owl, accented in poppy, saffron, lavender, cerulean and peach. The uplifting power of pattern and color in this Maximalism tapestry creates a standout spectacle with shades of brilliance.
