About the Item
Hand knotted in an exceptionally soft Ghazni wool with a unique blend of yarns, this 4 x 6 custom rug hails from the latest additions to Rug & Kilim’s Burano Collection, reputed for its pioneering method of capturing classic patterns with especially European sensible interpretations of Oriental inspirations. Drawing influence from one of the most distinct Kuba rug designs our team has ever seen, the design also includes one of the most uniquely diverse arrays of symbolism in this revered antique rug family, from subtle pictorial allusions to people to bird and dragon motifs and a variety of geometric floral styles in several nomadic families. The imagery has a very natural, exciting sense of movement in our revitalization of time-honored shades of red, beige-brown, and blue in the field and graceful, meandering floral border alike, further complemented by the subtle texture and versatile size achieved in this edition.
This piece comes in 4’1 x 6’1 dimensions, with stock pieces in additional colors and sizes available. Further custom orders are available within 90 days upon request.
