Hand knotted in wool originating from Persia circa 1950-1960, this vintage rug connotes a midcentury Baluch tribal rug design, marrying the Classic richness of beige-brown hues with the equally celebrated variations of ram’s horn motifs in the central field and border patterns. The repetition of these motifs creates an intrigue around the inexact variations of forgiving and rich colorways hues in the field, while the border meanders represent the idyllic Baluch transitional rug approach with an intricacy remarking the skill of the tribal weavers; a welcome addition to the Antique & Vintage Collection from Rug & Kilim.
