A magnificent oversize antique Persian Lavar carpet, circa 1880. Size: 24'5 x 15'3. This lovely carpet has a series of medallions on an intricately woven soft red central field, with beautiful navy outer border. This rug is extremely finely woven, and the floral motifs throughout the rug are woven with extraordinary curvature and clarity. A truly exemplary palace rug and an amazing statement piece to define one's home decor! Wool pile. Excellent condition.
