This vintage, circa 1970, Tabriz rug has an ivory field with dense rust-red and shaded buff-brown and blue herati-pattern around a central similar shaded red and ivory cusped medallion with palmette pendants, the ivory and buff-brown spandrels similar, in a shaded red border with a polychrome meandering floral vine linking palmettes and turtle-palmettes between light-blue linked floral motifs and rust-red angular floral vine stripes, plain outer ivory stripe. A very high quality rug created in China featuring the classic Persian Tabriz design and a superb detailed workmanship. 100% natural wool pile. Brand new.
