About the Item
An artistic overdyed Persian carpet (acrylic paint on a Tabriz rug). This abstract rug with a nautical design originated as a vintage Tabriz carpet from the mid-20th century. During the early 21st century it was sheared to create a weathered appeal and then over-dyed. Most recently, the carpet was used as an experimental artist's canvas used to paint the overlaying design.
