About the Item

This Orley Shabahang signature “Dissolve” carpet in pure handspun wool and organic dyes showcases a Minimalist contemporary design in a hand knotted Persian weave. Using lush greens and yellows and a flowing pattern, this carpet provides a dynamic feeling through the simplicity of its design, which champions the natural striation achieved by hand spinning the wool. The size is 2’10" x 5’ and it is in excellent new condition. Orley Shabahang works house to house, village to village with our weavers, working to preserve the art of weaving as a cottage industry, and implementing ancient weaving methods to create the antiques of the future.
