This Persian Haji Jalili Tabriz carpet created circa 1870 consists of a cotton warp and weft, hand-knotted wool pile and organic vegetal dyes. It is an exceptionally Fine example from the master artist and weaver Haji Jalili, and was crafted using his own signature wool and dyes. It is extremely challenging for a weaver to work with colors that are so similar and yet still be able to distinguish among them, especially while working with such fine woolen yarns. The resulting piece is one of amazing dimension and timeless beauty. The tree of life illustration, amid Cyprus...
