About the Item
Joshagan is situated about eighty miles along the road from Isfahan in Central Persia. This small mountain province is important in the history of carpet production and as early as the 16th century carpets and exquisite silk pieces were being exported to India. The town suffered from an earthquake in the mid-19th century and stopped production of carpets until the early 20th century. Measures: 12'7" x 19'3".
