Turkish hand knotted wool rug, hand-knotted in eastern Anatolia. Turkish rugs and carpets are mainly made iof fine, hand-spun wool, This wonderful and stunning example comes from eastern Anatolia. This rug was made in a village by a woman. In Turkey, most rugs are made by women. For this vintage piece, they used local wool and dyes. Origin: Turkey Pile material: Fine hand-spun wool, high shaggy pile Weft material: Fine hand-spun wool Warp material: Fine hand-spun wool Structure: Soft and with a high, plush pile - super soft wool Colors: Orange, Brown, Lilac, Beige This is vintage rug, one of a kind - no other sizes available. Size: approx. 13 x 4 ft. For this collection we use extremely fine wool, haptic like Merino or Cashmere. Due to the plush and long pile fibers, the rug will shed at the beginning.
