About the Item

A vintage Kilim rug in 5x8, from the latest curation of the Cecim tribal rug family joining our acclaimed collection. Handwoven in wool from Turkey circa 1950-1960, enjoying a bold near-black background with textural geometric patterns in all-over style. On the Design: The prevalent brown-black colorway is accented by a wide range of playful, vibrant hues in the embroidered geometry. Whimsical oranges and blues with rich golds play with reds and crisp whites lending the patterns a colorful, eccentric presence. A marriage of half stars and various Antolian motifs with this positive-negative light-on-dark look exemplifies our principal’s love of these new curations. Further enjoying great condition, a testament to distinguished Kurdish flat weave of this traditional style. Versatile in size and application to creative projects like country homes, cabins, ski lodges, both the rustic and the contemporary.
