About the Item
A vintage hand-knotted "Tulu" (Turkish word for "high piled") rug from Central Turkey, traditionally woven in two panels. 100% Wool. These charming small rugs with simple and contemporary designs were produced for daily use by villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until 1970s. Today they are very popular in the design trade for their contemporary patterns, vivid colors and velvety soft wool pile.
They are not only so decorative, but also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art. Measures: 3.7 x 4.7 Ft.
