52095 distressed vintage Turkish Oushak accent rug with Modern Jacobean style. With its striking appeal and saturated color palette, this hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug appears like a sumptuous Italian velvet, recalling the rich and luxurious design furnishings of a bygone era such as the reign of King James I in Jacobean England. The abrashed and weathered red field features a hexagonal medallion patterned with angular palmettes and anchored with palmette pendants at either end. A column of repeating goz eye motifs and amulets run along the vertical sides of the central medallion adding visual interest and depth. End-caps are filled with ambiguous Anatolian motifs. It is enclosed with a floral bud and Meander border.
