This rug was made in the late 20th century and antique washed to achieve a vintage effect. From Kars in the North East of Turkey these vintage hand knotted light colored rugs are similar to Oushak's and are among the most popular oriental carpets, known for the high quality of their wool their beautiful patterns and warm colors.
