The carpets, scatters, runners, long rugs and bags of the towns, villages and tribes of Anatolia, including: Oushak, Ghiordes, Kula, Ladik, Hereke, Konya, Melas, Bergama, Sivas, Kayseri and Yuruk. Enormous range of weave densities, sizes, patterns and palettes. Prayer rugs especially popular. When in doubt, “Turkish” is appropriate. Unbroken tradition from the 14th century onward.
