About the Item
Beautiful vintage Turkish Yahyali rug. Very nice design and quality.
Yahyali rugs are hand knotted by women in the Anatolian village Yahyali. Their main color is the wonderful "Turkish red", a dye made from the madder plant root. The wool is of best quality - it is hand spund and dyed by the artesans.
The design is traditional and typical. As can be seen on the images, the material is very soft and has a stunning luster. This beautiful rug was made Midcentury between 1950 and 60.
It is fresh washed and in very good full pile condition.
Due to it´s age it has small restorations - this is normal for a rug like this. Fringes and selvedge in very good condition.
