French Aubusson Wool Rug After Andre Arbus, 1940's

A very rare French Aubusson carpet, monogrammed JF, executed in the style distinctive of André Arbus and characteristic of the so-called 'Neoclassique' style (please refer to J. Sirat, F. Siriex, Tapis Français du XXe Siècle, Paris 1993, pp. 62-75).
