Portuguese Rug Antique, c. 1800s
About the Item
This stunning antique Portuguese runner displays the most exquisite of warm tones. It has soft red-orange colors intermixed with gold tones. The center is patterned with paisley-like shapes while the border is decorated with animals including deer and lions. The rug is then complete with a small intricate border pattern on either end and finished with fringes on the top and bottom.
