18th Century Louis XV Grey Painted Bergere Armchair, Jean-Baptiste Lebas Floral

About the Item

An elegant Louis XV grey painted Bergere by Jean-Baptiste Lebas. Upholstered in a striking period cream fabric, with a subtle green woven undertone, presenting charming red and green floral sprigs. Displaying a cartouche shaped moulded back surmounted by a foliate cresting. Demonstrating outswept padded arms, sides and seat with loose squab and bolster cushion. Above a foliate carved seat-rail on cabriole legs and scroll feet. Stamped on the seat-rail I LEBAS. A fabulous example. Measures: Height - 103cm Width - 72cm Depth - 64cm Seat height 53cm.
