Afra & Tobia scarpa pair of "Soriana" lounge chairs for Cassina, 1969.
With a relevant Minimalist structure in chromed metal cable which holds the plush cushions in place, this pair of "Soriana" chairs in original black leather is a nice example of the modern elegance of this Space Age item. Although technically designed in the 1960s, the "Soriana" model by the Italian duo Tobia & Afra Scarpa is firmly associated with the next decade, when its popularity peaked. Soriana is low and invites you to sink into its curves, giving to the seater a cozy sensation and a warm feeling.
This pair of "Soriana" lounge chairs is a real piece. In original black leather, it comes in excellent condition. The chrome parts show a very nice patina and the leather is smooth and well conserved.
