Antique Italian neoclassical Louis XVI Petite Giltwood Bergeres ~ Armchairs are the perfect choice for cozy seating groups, bedrooms, or anywhere a surprisingly comfortable seat with a lot of visual panache is desired! The seatback provides just enough support for the lower back, and wraps you in comfort, providing armrests as well. Fully upholstered all around, it's great for placement even in the center of the room, and the upholstery is in very serviceable condition. The frameworks, however, steal the show with the combination of artistic sculpture and a gold finish creating a timeless appeal. Motifs carved into the frames include ribbon at the top of the seatback, acanthus plumes and floral sprays, unusual horizontal scrolls, and amazing vine detailing all around the apron. The legs are works of art unto themselves, depicting classical columns with foliates, fluting and garlands.
