In the 1980s Corneli was the sculptor of anamorphosis of shadows, mysterious devices and idols, simulacres of reason, in the alchemies of manual and conceptual procedures. Now the analytical intuition penetrates the “world of nature”.
A metal slab assumes contours conceived as relationships between anatomy and plant forms; it splits and generates a leaf:
the pure and strong idea is reproduced in an object with the simplicity and harmony of a Quintessence.
