About the Item

It is an important armchair. Large and tall. Revolving and with a soft shape. But it is visually light thanks to the material, that polycarbonate with which Jacopo Foggini can build weaves as intricate as embroidery that catch the light. It is the name of a woman, like the previous projects that the designer created with Edra: "I like to call them by the name of people I love or have loved. And Margherita will always have a special place in my heart." "I used an “embroidery thread” of completely hand-molded polycarbonate," he says, "as I had already done for Gina, just to accentuate the ability of this object to play with the light. In fact, the armchair takes on different shades and shines when placed close to a natural or artificial light source." It is contained, protected as a nest: -"When you sit in it, you feel like a newborn chick. Even from the outside, it looks like something made by birds." It is available in four colors: gold, red, aqua and amber. The shell rests supported by a conical pedestal of steel, brushed and finished in different colors. "The color of the support," continues Foggini, "changes accordingly to the shell color: gold for gold, shiny metal for red, again gold for amber, and glossy black for aqua. The chromium plating is obtained by a galvanic bath, and in the case of the gold color contains a 24-carat gold bar". It adds on to the collection of other chairs and armchairs in polycarbonate designed by Foggini for Edra: Alice, Ella, Gilda B., Gina.
