An exceptional Genoese hand-carved, painted and gilt decorated 'fauteuil' armchair made during the reign of Louis XV of France; and thereby strongly influenced. Scroll footed, with a pierced-carved seat front apron; the surface condition of its original paint and gilding is highly attractive, desirable, and preferable to over-restored 'en peinte' furniture.
