Noodle Armchair by Augusto Betti Paradisoterrestre Edition

About the Item

Designed in 1967 - Paradisoterrestre Edition 2022 Materials: shaped polyurethane, metal and wood; upholstery available in different fabric and colours. The balanced gesture of the hand translates into a volumetric element. The Noodle armchair welcomes us in a harmonic dimension. To explain to his students the importance of free gestures in the generation of ideas, Augusto Betti takes one of his signs and gives it three-dimensionality, transforming it into an armchair. Homemade tagliatelle lover, he sees the same shape in his creation and so he names it Noodle, underlining also in the choice of the title the importance of leaving space to intuitions. A simple and essential – yet very original – curved armchair, a clear correspondence to Betti’s artistic experiences on the theme of pulsation.
