About the Item

A pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty period yoke-back chairs from the 19th century, made from natural wood with carved splats. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty, each of this pair of armchairs features a tall back, topped with a curving rail. The rectangular seat with woven rattan inset, flanked with sinuous arms, is resting on four straight legs connected to one another through plain side stretchers and a delicately carved apron.
